Recognizing the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment

Extension Marathon County is recognizing the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, granting women the right to vote, in August of 2020. Join us on August 18th to learn more about what it took to pass the Amendment, what has happened since 1920, and where we go from here:

“The Next 100 Years” Panel Discussion: Join Melinda Osterberg, Extension’s Community Development Educator as she moderates a discussion with current community leaders including Wausau Mayor Katie Rosenberg, Dr. Selika Lawton of UW-Eau Claire, Chai Moua, Portage County Board/Freedom Inc., and Heather Bruegl, Stockbridge-Munsee Community Cultural Affairs Director. Speakers will discuss what voting rights look like in their individual communities.
