Education & Resources for Wisconsin Clerks

Clerks play a critical role in keeping communities running efficiently.

Our workshops and webinars support clerks to navigate a wide breadth of responsibilities, covering everything from election administration and running effective meetings to human resources management and financial reporting.

Town Clerk Trainings

Sponsored by the Wisconsin Towns Association (WTA), these workshops designed specifically to meet the needs of Town Clerks in Wisconsin.

New Clerk Bootcamp

A one-day workshop designed for new town clerks to learn the duties and functions of the clerk role, the New Clerk Bootcamp is offered in the summer of odd years, after town elections. Offered in conjunction with WTA, the next training will be held in summer of 2027.


Lunch and Learn Webinars

Join free monthly webinars on topics such as Maintenance of Effort reporting, technological issues for towns, and more. Hosted in partnership with the WTA webinars are available live or recorded.

Clerk College

A comprehensive, year-long program designed for new and continuing clerks, Clerk College is offered annually and sponsored by WTA. The program covers a variety of topics, including human resources, open meetings, and public records.
