Certified Public Manager Program

Are you seeking education that will help you learn, apply and succeed in meeting the unique demands and challenges of public management?

The Wisconsin Certified Public Manager® (CPM) Program may be the right program for you. WI-CPM is a nationally accredited and recognized management development program, that provides the education and training to strengthen your administrative, technical, and interpersonal skills through a combination of classes, activities, and written applied projects.

By participating in an 18-month Group Colleague Cohort, you will form a learning community with other public sector professionals, engaging with an intensive broad-based management curriculum that teaches theory and practical application approaches to hone your management and program delivery skills, through seven core competencies Personal and Organizational Integrity; Managing Work, Leading People, Developing Self, Systemic Integration, Public Service Focus and Change Leadership.

Over 30+ years, over 1,400 graduated from local government, state, tribal, nonprofit and federal organizations have received their WI-CPM certificate, signed by the Governor and UW Madison Chancellor.
